Terms of Use for Authors
Technical Specifications
We ask authors to carefully read the specifications below, as we will consider further use of "Foto baze" as giving consent to everything stated. By agreeing to become authors on our platform, you give consent to the rules that apply to authors.
Format
"Foto Baza" supports only photographs in .jpg or .jpeg format.
Size
The size of uploaded photographs must be at least 3,000 px (300 DPI) on the longer side. It is desirable for photographs to be in a 3:2 ratio. Also, photographs must not exceed 30 MB.
Without Watermarks
Photographs must not contain signatures, watermarks, logos, or any kind of stamps.
Without Advertisements
The photograph must not display advertisements nor logos of companies and brands.
Model/Intellectual and Copyright Owner Release
If a person's face is visible in the photograph, written permission from that person is required for commercial use. Otherwise, the photograph cannot be used for media purposes. The same applies to recognizable buildings and intellectual property, and in those cases, permission from the intellectual and copyright owner is required.
Selection
It is allowed to upload multiple photographs with the same motif, but we ask you to make a selection. There is really no need to send 40 almost identical photographs.
Signature
Use the “signature” field only if you are not allowed to sign photographs with your name. In that case, contact us at info@fotobaza.ba and explain your situation. Otherwise, all photographs must be signed with your first and last name.
Spelling
Please pay attention to spelling, as the "Foto baze" editor will return photographs where the description and tags are not correctly written.
Purpose of Photographs
When submitting your works for review, you can choose whether you want them to be commercial or media. If you choose the commercial option, your photograph can be purchased by companies for their advertisements, but also by media for reporting purposes. If you disable the commercial option, your photograph will be available only to media. By selecting the “free photograph” button, you give permission to "Foto bazi" to offer your photograph to media for free use.
Earnings
The author of the photograph receives 40 percent from each sale made on "Foto bazi". The earned amount is paid to the author's account at the beginning of the month, for those authors who have reached the lower limit of 50 KM. Otherwise, the earned amount will be carried over to the next month until the conditions for payment are met. For authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the money is paid to a bank account, and in that case, "Foto baza" bears the transaction and tax costs. For authors from other countries, earnings are paid to a foreign currency account, and they bear the additional costs themselves.
Promotion
By uploading your photographs, you give consent to "Foto bazi" to use your photographs free of charge for the purpose of promoting the platform itself, with mandatory crediting of the author.
Data Processing
"Foto baza" will request and process certain data related to the author, possibly personal, which are necessary for executing transactions and possible requests from competent authorities.
Without Offensive Content
Photographs, their descriptions, and tags must not contain offensive, violent, pornographic, or content that is inappropriate in any way.
User Blocking
"Foto baza" reserves the right to block all users who do not adhere to the set rules and who do not correct their behavior even after warnings from the platform's management.
By selecting the option to represent an author on our platform, you accept these special rules for authors, which constitute an addition to the General Terms of Business of "Foto baza".
